May

At the begging of this month I have started a new hobby... I have decided to start my own potted garden. Well its not really a garden but I have a few plants such as raspberries, strawberries and blueberries.

As you can see it is not much now but I am really excited for them to start growing some yummy fruit!!

April

Part of our cruise was in the begging of April but towards the middle it was my dad's birthday so we went to Idaho to visit.

Also while we were in Idaho we decided that we were going to buy a new car. We traded in my car and got a new 2010 Ford Fusion... and we love it!!!

At the end of April Scott finished his semester of school with flying colors!!! He got straight A's in all of his classes and then got ready for summer school to start in May.

March

March flew by very fast... All that really happened this month is more school, work and getting ready for the big trip!!! We were really excited to go and it was getting closer and closer. Finally on the 27th it was time to go. We flew to Florida Saturday out of Salt Lake. We drove with my sister and aunt to the airport.

When we got in the airport we sat and waited for everyone else in our group to get there. We were in a group of 15 so there was a long wait and a TON of luggage.

We stayed the night in Florida and departed out of Cape Canaveral Sunday afternoon.
When we finally got to the ship that day it was the longest process actually getting on. It took a few hours but we were too excited to really care how long it took. The ship that we were on was called Freedom of the Seas and it was massive!!! It holds a little more than 4000 people on at a time. After we got settled in to our rooms we roamed the ship until departure. We walked around and looked at all of the stuff we wanted to do that week... we also looked at the menu for that night because we were starving. We had dinner that night and it was amazing!

The next day we arrived at Coco Cay which is a private island owned by the cruise line in the Bahamas. We went snorkeling and laid out in the sun just relaxing. They had a BBQ buffet set up for everyone which included BBQ pork, hot dogs, hamburgers, salad and chips. It was really yummy. The fish that we saw there were so colorful and amazing. The only bad thing about that day was that is was a bit windy that made it a little chilly. Though you wouldn't know that with how much sun we looked like we got but is was a bit cold. That night for dinner we had our first formal night where we got all dressed up for dinner and had pictures taken, It really made the night fun!

When we went to get food all the tables were really full so we just took the food back to our beach chairs and ate there. We didn't know that we weren't supposed to eat there because of the birds but we learned fast when they started to surround us and one of them even pooped on my brother.

Tuesday we were at sea all day long. It was nice but for some reason it was really really windy. It was still fun though we ate a ton and played hard! They had a bunch of dance parties and parades that were a lot of fun the watch and dance in. There were also game shows and lots of other shows that you could go to.

Wednesday we arrived at St. Thomas. We went on a excursion which included kayaking, hiking and snorkeling. Scott and I kayaked together and then when we got to the island we had to catch a hermit crab and we had a race... Scott's crab (that he named Carlos) won over everyone else's. They took us on a little hike to a place where the waves were huge hitting the rocks and it was beautiful. We weren't allowed to take our cameras so there are not many pictures. Then we went snorkeling... we saw puffer fish, a shark and the biggest manna ray ever!! There were also jelly fish and lots of other cool fish. The water was so clear and peaceful it was amazing!

Thursday we were at St. Marteen. We went shopping all morning on the dutch side and that afternoon we had another excursion but it was on the french side of the island. We went to a private beach. It was a lot of fun... the waves were not too big but big enough that we couldn't really snorkel. Scott went out with one of my brothers and snorkeled but I was too chicken. We had fun trying to stand the power of the waves but after a while it got tiring so we went in and laid out.

Friday morning I was able to get a massage with all of my sisters, sister in-laws, my mom and aunt. I got the lime salt scrub massage. It was amazing and so relaxing. They put this salt scrub all over my body and then I had to shower it off but when I did my skin was so so soft. Then they rubbed me down with this warm oil. I felt like a million bucks when I left and my skin glowed! But that day we were at sea again. We went mini golfing, singing karaoke and I got to participate in a game show. That night they had a 80's dance party which we most defiantly attended and rocked out to!

Saturday was our last day to be on the ship. We tried to go do everything that we didn't get to do yet but it was hard. They had a buffet party set up in the main walk way with lots of beautiful food and many other decorations. We went to a magic show and so many other things that I can't really remember. There was gourmet food every night and some shows by the waiters and staff of the kitchen. I was really excited about the food on the ship and I defiantly ate a ton of it all. Every night we had an animal made out of towels waiting for us in our stateroom with our bed made and everything cleaned up.

Sunday we arrived back in Port Canaveral where we got ready to fly back to Salt Lake. It was pretty fast going back, even customs was fast. Though we did have one set back when we were driving back to the Florida airport our driver wasn't quite sure on where to go. He ended up pulling into one wrong section and backing out and then he pulled into the car rental return section where it was going into a covered garage where a charter bus will not fit. After backing up all the traffic for what seemed like for ever he decided to back it out. He started to back up and kept having issues. A couple times I thought that the bus was going to tip over. But after he drove over the curb, dug up all of the grass and ran over a few sprinkler head while scraping the bus we where able to get out of the one way road. He looked as if he wanted to cry but he got a lot of pity tips out of it all. After checking into the airport we flew to Atlanta where we had a few hour layover. We ate and hung out and then boarded the next flight to Salt Lake. We got home late and exhausted. It was a great trip and hope to someday be able to do something like that again.

February

In February not too much happened... Scott was working hard in school and I was slaving away with work. One of Scott's projects was to build an airplane and it had to fly for 30 seconds. His group was really good and got it to fly for over 30 seconds. Naturally they got an A on it and Scott brought it home as a souvenir!

Also during the month of February we were getting ready for a vacation we had planned with my family for the end of march. We went shopping in Park City and got some new summer clothes and stuff... We also bought Scott a suit for the trip... he looks really good in it!!

And the update beings...

So as you can see it has been a very long time since I have updated our blog! But I will try to recap every thing that has happened in the past few months...

New Year

Hmm well as you can see it has been a very long time since we updated our blog. But with the new year starting I have decided to start blogging more.

Well just to catch you up on what has happened in the past few months--

In September we had a fun Anniversary trip to Florida

We went to a dinner show called Arabian Knights-- It was kind of weird... but we still had fun!!

We stayed in a really nice resort thanks to Scott's parents! And we went swimming almost everyday we were there. On our way back the manager took this picture of us through the mirror.

We also went to Universal Studios and went to some 3D shows!!!

And we rode the Simpson's ride a few times!!! This is Scott waiting in line.

Over all it was a really fun trip and it was nice to get away just the two of us!

Later in September my aunt was visiting from Oregon and so we went to Blackfoot to see her and it happened to be my nephew's third birthday so we had a little party. My one aunt bought the kids a pinata. Uncle Scott was in charge of holding the rope while the kids hit it. Its not in this video but when the older kids start to hit it Scott is naughty and pulls it up so they miss! But it eventually broke open and the kids went crazy grabbing candy. It was funny and exciting to watch.

Then in October we just hung out most of the time but I did end up getting the swine flu and made a few trips to the doctor. It was no fun... I was stuck in my house all day every day for a week. No one came to see me and I couldn't even go to work. It was really boring and I was sick on Halloween!!! But a week or so before I got sick we went to the store and got some costumes for Halloween. I got a fairy costume that I didn't even get to wear and Scott just decided to get a mask and be Jason.

This is what he looked like... Scary huh?!

In November I decided that I was sick of my hair and ended up cutting off almost eight inches.

We ended up going back to Blackfoot for Thanksgiving. It was a very eventful weekend filled with many memories. We played the traditional Catch Phrase and brought Uno Attack and had a mini tournament. Later Thanksgiving day we had some excitement from my niece when she decided to roll a watermelon down the stairs. It exploded everywhere in the basement and the whole house smelled like watermelon for the rest of the day.
It was fun to be home with my family and I think I gained like ten pounds just on that four day trip! We had so much food between one thanksgiving dinner with my extended family and then another that night with my immediate family... that's a ton of food to take in on one day! I had a lot of cooking to do when I got there, but before I got there I had to have my pies already done. I was in charge of making three pumpkin, one banana cream and one blueberry. Between my sister and I we had to make I think nine pies and a cake. Here are some pictures of a few of the pies I made.

In December I graduated from Culinary school and then we went back to Blackfoot for Christmas. Every Christmas Eve we go to my aunts house and have a big christmas party and at the end of the party Santa comes and visits all the children. It will be a lot more fun for us once we start having kids! It was a great Christmas-- we bought my parents a game called Guesstures and had a blast playing it with everyone. It got a little too easy and so my brother Randal and Scott decided to change the rules to try to make it harder... I think they did that because the girls were beating the guys! :) The guys never got ahead and the girls won it all!!!
The Day after Christmas our family got a chance to take a new family photo and some individual families too. I will post it once I have it.

We had to go home for two days for work and then we came right back for New Years.
This New Year I turned the big 21!!! I am now old enough to do just about anything. I share a birthday with my sister Shayla who turned 23 and my nephew Zaven who turned 3. It was fun to spend my birthday with my family... it's the first time I have been home for it in years. We watched the ball drop and then my nephew helped me open some presents from Scott. Scott spoiled me with movies, some really cute sunglasses and clothes! He even wrapped them himself. He is the best husband ever! :)

Now that we are home and back to reality... Scott works out in the freezing cold and goes to school. I think he likes going back to school but its taking a while for him to get back into school mode. And as for me I am currently working at Ancestry.com still and have recently taken a job with a company called Guckenheimer and will be cooking.
